We are on the National Cycling Network, a network of traffic free paths and quiet roads. Canoes and stand-up paddle boards available on request and subject to availability.
Walking & Hiking
Tow-path along the river, please ask for the ordinance survey map for the best walks in the area like Turville in the Chiltern Hills and its surrounding AONB (Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty)
Sports
- Jogging and Cross-country Running: Please ask us for our favourite circuits and mileage.
- Yoga and Meditation: Available in house by request.
- Golf: We are spoilt for choice of Golf Clubs in the immediate area. Both Wentworth and Sunningdale Courses are close by.
- Fishing: Licenses can be purchased at nearby post-office.
- Rowing: Maidenhead Rowing Club is opposite us and separate arrangements can be made for rowing lessons and the use of their gym.
- Waterskiing, wake boarding, sailing, windsurf and other water-sports are widely available in the area.
- Tennis: There are a number of Tennis clubs in the area and bookings can be made by separate arrangements.
Horse Racing & Polo
There is Polo at Smith’s Lawn and Windsor Great Park and Racing at Royal Ascot and Royal Windsor courses, which are all within a short drive
Henley Regatta
Henley Royal Regatta is undoubtedly the best known rowing event in the world and is both one of the highlights of the summer sporting calendar and the social season
