I’m so happy to welcome you to River Arts Club.
The idea for this space grew from a simple yet profound desire: to create a sanctuary where people could reconnect—with themselves, with others, and with the quiet wisdom of the natural world. Inspired by the flowing Thames and the timeless philosophies of simplicity and renewal, River Arts Club became a way to turn that vision into something tangible.
Wellbeing is at the heart of everything we do here. I believe that true growth and healing come when we feel supported, cared for, and free to embrace life at our own pace. The Japanese concept of kintsugi—seeing beauty in imperfection—deeply resonates with me and shapes the ethos of this club. Life’s cracks and challenges are not flaws to hide but opportunities to grow stronger, more resilient, and more radiant.
I wanted this to be a place where rituals, both big and small, could guide us toward balance. Whether it’s starting your day with yoga, finding inspiration in a creative workshop, or simply taking a quiet moment by the river, these practices become anchors in our busy lives. They remind us of what matters and give us the strength to move forward.
For me, community is just as important as reflection. That’s why River Arts Club is more than a retreat; it’s a shared space for connection and collaboration. Our Readers Circle, Writers Club, and Entrepreneur Circle bring people together to learn, share, and grow. From transformative retreats to everyday conversations, these moments of exchange inspire a sense of belonging that stays with you long after you leave.
My hope is that every person who steps through our doors feels both held and inspired. Whether you visit for rest, renewal, or discovery, know that this is a space for you to simply be yourself.
Warmly,
Angelika Imber
